Inclusive Communication

At CoCoCare, we are actively inclusive and consistently encouraging positive interactions. Our staff have a range of skills in promoting social interactions through different means including intensive interaction, sensory exploration and promoting inclusive communication.

Intensive interaction can promote communication and social skills. It helps to develop trust, confidence and relationships.

Sensory exploration offers different ways to stimulate the senses: touch, smell, taste, movement, balance, sight and hearing. Sensory activities facilitate exploration and naturally encourages participants to create, investigate and discover.

Promoting inclusive communication means sharing information in a way that everybody can understand. At CoCoCare, we encourage and promote communication using various tools, supporting each person to be understood and have a voice. We have made strong links with local speech and language therapists.

In our NEW PREMISES we have created our own sensory room and continue to develop more specialised one to one experiences.
